Dear
St Lucia Friend,
Hopefully
by now you would have heard of the passage of Hurricane Tomas across St Lucia last
Friday October 29th .
St Lucia was pummelled for about 26 hours NONSTOP and
in it's aftermath Tomas left a trail of death & destruction that
still has St Lucia reeling...
From as early as
Sunday October 31st Helen Radio was Saint Lucia's sole functioning
radio station and they have done yeoman service to connect loved ones
through this absolutely horrible period in our history.
Now, in yet another
effort to help Saint Lucia rise from the ashes of this disaster Helen
FM is holding a Telethon to raise funds for the relief efforts
currently underway (see the national Emergency Management
Organisation's -
NEMO's footage below)
Much of the relief effort is currently being channelled through the
Nemo & The Red Cross.
As a way to help I have created this site to allow Friends of Saint
Lucia abroad to easily make contributions to this worthwhile cause.
Please

Your

And in the interest of TOTAL
TRANSPARENCY I will make available on my blog a list of all
monies received and the payments that I have made of that money
received.
Your donations will be handed over to the government appointed relief

continues to revise & update it's St Lucia Recovery strategies.
Once you have made a donation you will have the opportunity to state
whether or not you wish to have your name and contribution mentioned or
whether you prefer to remain anonymous.
Let me encourage you to Give
Generously as your donations will impact more lives in more ways
than you can imagine, and the video below shows you some of what we are
up against down here in St Lucia
In the coming weeks
& months I'll be featuring pictures & videos of the meaningful
ways in
which your contributions would have helped the lives of currently
helpless and near destitute Saint Lucians right across this Beautiful
Paradise that we call home...A Paradise that you are always so
happy to return to.
Please spread the word and encourage your friends & family to
donate
generously
I wish to Personally Thank You in advance for your donation and look
forward to welcoming you back home to a Restored Saint Lucia Very Very
Soon...
